New Sixth Form Centre and Drama Studio
The existing sixth form centre at Barclay Academy was demolished to make way for a brand new sixth form centre and new drama studio, along with a covered link to the existing school.
The new block comprised pad and beam foundations, precast concrete ground floor, steel frame, brick/SFS cavity external walls and internal studwork. Natural ventilation was installed through the roof and another system through the façade.
HBC maintained a close relationship with the contractors to ensure minimal disruption to the school and a smooth working process. The final result is a modern and bright environment at the Sixth Form Centre, and a state-of-the-art Drama Studio!
