Cheshunt Lakeside Regeneration
Aiming for a step-change in the regeneration of the area this new Cheshunt Lakeside development plans to offer a mix of new apartments, alongside new community outlets, pocket parks, and sought-after commercial space. This phased development aims to bring improved public transport links, pedestrian and cycle routes, and a brand new primary school. Further communal gardens and a traffic-free ‘Green Link’ for pedestrians is designed to reflect the neighbouring River Lea corridor and support wildlife.
Work commenced during November 2020 on Delamere Road where the former Tesco Headquarters buildings stood. Retained materials from the former building will be re-used, going towards achieving the scheme’s sustainability targets. Phase1A will take approximately two years to complete, and is on course to finish during summer 2023.
Craig Ireland, Technical Director, Inland Homes commented on the working relationship between HBC, LABC Warranty and Inland homes
“The partnership with LABC Warranty & HBC supports many facets of the business. Such as at the land and planning stages when we are bidding for a piece of land where we have some concerns; LABC warranty & HBC can assist us technically to the approach taken on-site. Surveyors on-site and their technical approach is refreshing. Their guidance comes through clearly and concisely for my technical team when needed.“
Mike Wallace our district surveyor commented
“I found working with the design and construction teams an intense but rewarding experience. They genuinely appear to want to build a quality product that is fully compliant with all aspects of the Building Regulations”
