Our surveyor Isobel Porter was a very important part of both the design team and the site team on this project ‘Chestnuts’. Isobel has a wealth of knowledge of all building types and materials which was invaluable to the success of the project.
She freely made herself available so that all design options could be evaluated for not only compliance but also suitability of the product, its performance and ease of use. She also helped extensively with detail discussions on issues uncovered by the site team and quickly gave her views on suggested alternative materials to be used due to the covid availability challenges.
Anthony Jane Architects were project managing the site working almost 24/7 due to covid and without the swift response from Isobel to the numerous questions and alternatives, the programme would not have been achieved.
The extensive use of green energy through the main residence coupled with fully smart control of every aspect gave the design team some real challenges, and Isobel guided the team through the implementation of this cutting-edge technology so that it all came within the confines of a compliant property whilst still performing to its maximum potential.
