Construction Industry Skills Focus

HBC is hosting this Construction Industry Skills Focus with Constructing Excellence Herts & Beds.

HBCEC pride ourselves on the success of our collaboration with the education sector, offering work placement opportunities and careers advice within our industry.  We would like to continue to develop this with our first event focused on education and the skills gap.

We are delighted that Mark Reynolds will join us to discuss the new ‘Industry Skills Plan for the UK Construction Sector’.  This plan sets out the key skills challenges facing construction and how they will be tackled with a series of clear actions and commitments for both industry and Government to help meet these challenges; careers, standards and qualifications, training, education and development, culture, and working environment.

We will also be joined by University Campus St. Albans and Bedford College Group to learn how the synergy between us could be of mutual benefit to our Members and to learn more about the new MMC building at Bedford.

This will be a virtual event.  You are invited to join us for our brief AGM at 3.00 pm to learn how the Club has been performing since its relaunch last year but otherwise please join us at 3.30 pm.
