Simon Green FCIBSE CEng: Managing Director of Green Building Design Consultants

Simon Green is the Owner and Managing Director of Green Building Design Consultants.  An acknowledged, forward-thinking expert in engineering aspects of low carbon, energy efficiency and dilapidations, Simon has been an engineer for over 30 years.

He established Green Building Design Consultants in 2001 as a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in the delivery of sustainable innovative and practical building services design solutions.  Simon and the team at Green Building Design Consultants have a proven track record in delivering technically complex and challenging projects across many sectors including large commercial developments, datacentres, urban regeneration projects and historic buildings.

As an active member of the RICS London Dilapidations Forum, Simon is a respected and sought-after M&E dilapidations expert.  He regularly lectures and presents on M&E, dilapidations and energy efficient and low carbon design, sharing his advanced technical building services design knowledge and expertise with major practices, industry bodies and the Government.

Trevor Clements MRICS ALFireE: Training and Development Principal

Trevor is a seasoned professional with a remarkable journey that spans over 44 years in the realm of Building Control. With a wealth of experience under his belt, he has proven time and again his passion for the subject and dedication to the field.

Here’s a quick potted history of Trevor’s Building Control life:

  • Former Herts Building Control Manager
  • Former Head of Business Development at HBC
  • Former member of LABC Tech Working Group and the BCA Tech Committee
  • 44-year career as a Surveyor in Building Control with several Local Authorities
  • Now responsible for Training and Development at HBC

Although he’s a self-proclaimed “technical nerd extraordinaire” Trevor likes to keep things down-to-earth. He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty, embodying the perfect blend of theoretical expertise and hands-on know-how.

His enthusiasm for continuous learning has led him to his current role, where he is responsible for training and development at HBC. Sharing his knowledge and nurturing the talents of the next generation is a testament to his enduring commitment to the industry.
