The Building Safety Act and its accompanying secondary legislation have introduced a new building control regime for all buildings to which Building Regulations 2010 apply.
Underpinning this new regime there are specific requirements for the principal dutyholders; the Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor – to demonstrate their competence and to operate strictly within their competency boundaries.
