University supports apprenticeships at HBC

University sponsor HBC Apprenticeships

The University of Hertfordshire (UoH) is supporting three Hertfordshire Building Control (HBC) employees by transferring their available apprenticeship levy. The University is regularly able to support local businesses in Hertfordshire; building their links with industry across the region.

HBC are also delighted to be a supplier to the University. Our major projects team regularly inspect the new multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science (SPECS) building, which is due for completion in Spring 2024.

Tara Bishop, Employee Apprenticeship Lead at UoH, managed the transfer for Matthew, Benjamin and Zavier, who have all been studying the Building Control Surveyor degree apprenticeship since October 2022. Tara said:

“We are delighted that the University is able to support HBC with the levy transfer, as it not only benefits the individuals’ training and development, but also strengthens business relationships within the local community.”
